**Context/26 — Oct 14, 2026 / 11:00 AM ET / online.**

Context will define the future we build with AI. Context/26 is where the ecosystem defines the discipline.

## What we'll discuss.

### WTF Is Context: Settling the Debate

The AI ecosystem conflates half a dozen things with context: semantic layers, ontologies, knowledge graphs, memory, data catalogs. We're bringing together thought leaders from every space to converge on a ratified lexicon the entire ecosystem can standardize on.

Questions we'll answer:

* Semantic layers vs. knowledge graphs — what's the real difference?
* What is the role of an ontology and does every organization need one?
* What are the different types of memory, and where does each one sit in the stack?
* Are skills a type of context? Where do they live and who owns them?

### Context Is IP: The Path to Owning Your Moat

The knowledge that makes AI useful belongs to your people and is your organization's biggest differentiator. The most strategic choice that organizations will make is how they keep their context open and portable.

Questions we'll answer:

* What format is the ecosystem actually converging on?
* How are organizations ensuring AI models aren't commoditizing their context?
* Should your context live inside your system of data or system of record?
* How much should surviving a model swap shape your AI strategy from day one?

### Context in Production: Reference Architectures and Implementation Stories

We'll bring together organizations that are making their context AI-ready, figuring out how to own it, and building agents that learn from it.

Questions we'll answer:

* What do real AI architectures with context actually look like?
* What are the most successful agentic use cases so far?
* How do you get started with building context?
* Who owns agent skills and where are they stored?

## Our belief

Context is **culture**. It is the collective knowledge that is created by people engaging in work together. It is the way people work, the words they use, the hidden relationships they understand.

Context is **community**. It is created, shaped, and maintained by people.

Context is **continuous**. It is built on constant learning, updated through feedback. It can never be static. The application of intelligence in the context of a situation creates new context about the situation and informs new ways to apply intelligence.

Context is **decentralized**. It is created by the diverse realities of every individual in an organization and their unique experiences.

Context is **IP**. Every organization is built on its own ways of working, its own knowledge, its own customers and the relationships people form with them, its own people.

Context is **inherently human.**
