# Data Products & Domains: Adding Output Ports to Data Products

[00:00] For every data product, letting data consumers know what data assets they should use to consume that data product is essential, whether it is a curated dashboard or a view with curated data. Here. These are called output ports as they are designated data assets for any data consumers to access, to get the data from the data product. Once you have added the assets desired for the data product, going to the overview page of the data product in clicking on the edit button in the output port section brings up the asset filters page.

Here, it will display all of the assets that you have in the data product. And for each asset, you see an option to set any of those assets as an output port. I'll put ports are not just limited to dashboards or views or even mean data assets, but any asset in Atlan that is part of the data product such as even terms or saved quarries. Clicking on the set as output port, we'll assign the asset as an output port and clicking back on the overviews tab.
