# Glossary: Viewing and Exporting Linked Assets from Terms

## 00:00 — Viewing linked assets from a term overview page

One of the main use cases for glossary terms is to associate them with other assets to give additional context around those assets, such as metric calculations or business definitions. This has done by linking terms to assets. Once the link has been made, there are several different ways that you are able to view and understand what assets are linked to specific terms. And what terms are linked to specific assets? Here we are looking at how to view all linked assets from a terms overview page. By navigating to the terms overview page in clicking on the linked assets tab.

A listing of all assets that the term has been linked to will show. Exclusive of any terms where the term is added through a relationship such as a valid value or recommended. Those relationships show on the term overview itself and list below each of the relationships. In the linked assets tab, you're able to search for specific assets. That's Herman's linked to, by utilizing the search bar.

## 01:00 — Searching sorting and filtering linked assets

This search is ordered by relevancy by default matching on both the title and description in the same way that the asset discovery search works. You can change the sorting of the results on the right hand side, by clicking on the sorting arrow. Updating to display the results either alphabetically. Or by the last update in Atlan on the matching assets. You're also able to update the details of the linked asset search results by clicking on the icon, adding in additional metadata to the results such as tags, the connection name and terms.

Clicking on the X icon in the search bar will clear your search results. Enlist all linked assets again. Additionally, you can utilize the asset filters just below the search bar to limit the linked assets results to only specific asset types. Clicking on any of the results tiles will open that asset companion, sidebar profile while clicking on the name of the asset. We'll open a new tab of the asset overview page.

## 02:00 — Exporting the linked assets list

If you're looking to have a list of all the assets linked to the term in cases where they're just too many to keep track of on the page, or you want to share them outside of Atlan. If you have either the Excel or Google sheets integration set up in your Atlan instance, clicking on the export icon on the top right hand of the linked assets tab gives the option to export all results currently displayed to whichever source you choose.
