Give your data meaning! Experience hands-on how to fully set up and manage glossaries, terms, and categories with metadata in this interactive Atlan demo.

## What the demo walks through

1. Begin by navigating to the glossary
2. Build your glossary from here
3. Enter a name for your glossary
4. Select an icon to personalize your glossary In this example, we'll select the money icon for a glossary on finance
5. Add a description for your glossary
6. Change the certification status Assign users or groups as owners
7. Next, add terms and categories to your glossary
8. (Optional) Edit the glossary
9. Update and save your changes
10. (Optional) Enable Slack or Teams notifications for glossary updates in Atlan
11. (Optional) Add announcements, export nested categories and terms, and more
12. Add terms to your glossary
13. While defining a new term, add as much information as possible
14. Change the certification status Enter a name and (optionally) an alias and a description for your term Assign users or groups as owners
15. Create your term
16. (Optional) Star the term to bookmark it
17. (Optional) Edit your term
18. (Optional) Define relationships between your terms
19. Select a term relationship
20. Select the term to associate

23. Add categories to better organize your glossary terms
24. While defining a new category, add as much information as possible
25. Enter a name and description for your category to create a hierarchy of information Create your category
26. You can create more glossaries to document your business context
27. (Optional) Once you have created more glossaries, rearrange your terms and categories within the same glossary or across multiple glossaries
28. ...or use the move to option Drag and drop your terms into relevant categories within the same glossary or a different one...
29. Confirm the changes
30. Expand the glossary to view nested categories
31. Select the relevant category Confirm the changes
