Updating metadata on impacted assets using the Atlan Excel integration

The lineage in port with Excel, not only allows you to import the lineage of a source asset, whether upstream, downstream, or both into a sheet, but also allows you to push back updates to Atlan on the impacted assets. In order to push back metadata updates, you must have the appropriate access rights to make those updates in Atlanta. Once you have imported the lineage you want into your sheet, you can make updates to the impacted assets, metadata that is displayed. Currently you're able to update the following metadata contained in the following columns directly from the sheet. Description owner users and owner groups. The certification status of the impacted asset in the certification message. The announcement type, title in message, along with the tax. .

Nope for tags. Only the tags field is able to be updated in the propagated tags field is not as to make modification to propagated tags. The source asset, where the [01:00] tag was applied in propagated from would need to be updated. For both the tag and owner fields. You can apply multiple values using a comma to separate those values. .

When a tag is applied. It will be applied using the default propagation in Atlanta, which is set to nut. So the tag will only apply to the impacted asset. You add it to when pushed back to Atlanta.

Once you have made the updates desired, simply clicking on the sync to Atlan button will push the metadata changes back to Atlanta.
