A dashboard is only as trustworthy as the data behind it, and most of that trust is decided before you open a BI tool. Analysts lose hours hunting for the correct, certified source and reconciling metric definitions, usually by pinging the data team to ask "is this the right table?"

Atlan MCP brings that context into the tools analysts already work in, so you can find governed tables, confirm they're trustworthy, and pull the agreed definition straight into your build. The session shows that in action, and a community analyst shows how they put it to work.

## What You'll See

1. **Find out it already exists** - From a ticket requesting a new dashboard, Atlan MCP searches the catalog and surfaces a certified asset that already answers it. You go back to the requestor with "this already exists, here it is," instead of building a duplicate.
2. **Build the new one on governed data** - When nothing fits, Atlan MCP confirms the gap, finds the right source data in your warehouse, checks it's trustworthy through lineage and certification, and suggests the dataset to produce and the shape to build on it. You start from governed data, not a guess.
3. **A community member shows it in production** - Someone working in the same stack, with the same Monday-morning questions, walks through how their team actually uses this: the prompt they ran, what came back, and what it changed.
4. **Start every build on data you trust** - "Is this the right table?" stops being a day of Slack. You leave able to start every dashboard from a source you've already confirmed you can trust.
