Help users avoid spending time copying and pasting information. 
🔄 Tasks
- Determine dependencies: Determine the asset’s downstream assets through lineage.
- Identify similarities: Identify the assets that should have the same metadata.
- For example, for a column description, look for columns that have an identical name.
- Apply metadata: Apply the same metadata (classification, description, assignment of a ticket, etc.) to the identified, downstream assets.
Which specific changes you want to make will vary. For example, you may not want to propagate description changes. You could even use other metadata, such as classifications or certification status, to decide whether to propagate metadata or not.
This propagation could also be dynamic, so that changes in one asset are automatically propagated to downstream assets.
