About this Session
Enterprises rarely start Fabric from a clean slate. Their data still comes from SQL Server, other clouds, and SaaS apps, so tracing a Power BI number back to its source can take days.
Microsoft and Atlan are solving that together. At FabCon Europe, Microsoft launched Fabric Platform Lineage and named Atlan one of four launch partners.
Atlan now connects lineage across Fabric to every system outside it, so you can follow a report number back to its source, column by column. Then Atlan puts that context back where you work. Atlan's metadata lands in your own OneLake, where Fabric notebooks, and the agents you build on Microsoft, can read it.

Fabric Platform Lineage
Fabric now records how data moves across the platform. Atlan brings that lineage in and joins it to the systems that feed Fabric from outside. Available in private preview.
