What Will You Do?

Key Focus Areas

Automate Cost Reports:

Develop and maintain automated cost reporting systems that provide visibility into cost metrics across different private cloud platforms.
Collect and analyze cost data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

Optimize Cloud Costs:

Implement architecture-level changes to optimize cloud costs, going beyond the recommendations provided by cloud service providers.
Utilize cost-saving techniques, such as instance type selection, reserved instances, and efficient resource utilization.

Implement Graviton Changes and Karpenter

Work on integrating Graviton-based instances into the cloud infrastructure to reduce costs and improve performance.
Utilize Karpenter to efficiently manage Kubernetes clusters and resources.

Kubernetes Cost Model Expertise:

Have an in-depth understanding of the Kubernetes cost model to identify and address cost-related challenges within containerized environments.

Cost Investigation Tools:

Utilize cost investigation tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, Amazon QuickSight, and AWS Cost and Usage Report (CUR) to investigate cost increases.
Identify the root causes of cost spikes and recommend corrective actions.

What Makes You a Match

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in cloud cost management and optimization, especially in private cloud environments.
Proficiency in cloud services like AWS, Azure, GCP, or other private cloud platforms.
Experience with implementing architecture-level changes for cost reduction.
Familiarity with Graviton-based instances and Karpenter for Kubernetes.
Deep knowledge of the Kubernetes cost model.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
AWS Cost Explorer, QuickSight, and Sigma expertise is a plus.
